Brian Darnell Still in Legal Trouble

Here’s a dubious milestone in the case of Brian Darnell’s failed Prodigy Restoration Group business brought by a former customer, Ms. Sheldon.

Missouri Courts records show that Ms. Sheldon needed to hire a lawyer and take Brian Darnell’s business to court, with a complaint being filed on March 23, 2016.  We can only guess that Ms. Sheldon’s headache with Brian Darnell probably started months prior, since going to court is not likely something she wanted when all she was looking for was for Brian Darnell to install windows in her house.

According to her attorney in an interview with News Channel 4 Investigative Reporter Chris Nagus who exposed Brian Darnell’s corrupt actions,

Ms. Sheldon’s misfortune of dealing with Brian Darnell, now going under other business names such as Darnell Construction, or Darnell Group, or Design Build St. Louis, is still ongoing.

Brian Darnell Dragging Court Case

We see from the Casenet records that Sheldon versus Prodigy Restoration Group has been dragging on for over TWO YEARS!  Again, all she wanted was windows installed in her home!  Brian Darnell has singlehandedly turned a home repair project into a homeowner nightmare.

There are two points to emphasize from this, the first is to remind consumers that when hiring a contractor to perform construction work on your home, whether it be remodeling, a new roof, having windows installed, do your homework researching the contractor.  Brian Darnell was able to manipulate online reviews as we’ve illustrated, so you need to be cautious.

The second point to emphasize, that crooked contractor Brian Darnell exemplifies, is how risky it can be for consumers when they entrust a large amount of their money to the contractor by way of a significant up front deposit.  Brian Darnell was years into his personal financial Chapter 13 bankruptcy when he was taking substantial up front payments from us, and presumably also from Ms. Sheldon.  Combined with his moral bankruptcy, Brian Darnell is someone to avoid doing business with.
