On a previous page discussing former Prodigy Restoration Group owner Brian Darnell’s multiple business entities, now with Darnell Construction being prominent, we showed how Darnell hides behind various different Limited Liability Company fronts and doing business as names. This practice is what we refer to as the Brian Darnell shell game.
It did not take long for Brian Darnell to implement his business entity shell game in an effort to avoid responsibility for his unethical behavior. Below is an example of Darnell on Yelp:
Darnell has no record of us as a customer “of Darnell Construction”. That’s right, because Darnell Construction was established in November of 2016 as the Civil Lawsuit involving his Prodigy Restoration Group was going very badly for Brian Darnell. His lawyers quit on him in November 2016 and on December 6th 2016 we won a $16,990 judgement against Darnell’s Prodigy Restoration Group.
Rather than taking responsibility for his actions Brian Darnell chose the cowards way out, he started a new business entity, shut down Prodigy Restoration Group, and refused to pay the judgement ordered by the court against Prodigy Restoration Group.
The Darnell shell game was also implemented during the 2015 Civil Lawsuit brought by Robert Cook against Darnell-Group LLC. In that case as well Darnell’s lawyer quit on him days before a losing final judgement was handed down and Darnell’s former customer was awarded over $30,000. During the court proceedings Darnell had formed Prodigy Restoration Group and sent the Missouri Secretary of State a Notice of Winding up for Darnell-Group. Mr. Cook and his lawyer were onto Darnell and filed a lawsuit against Prodigy Restoration Group before Darnell could squirm out of Darnell-Group.
You should also note that Brian Darnell is not correcting the review that was made THREE YEARS before Darnell Construction existed, for a different business entity. Beware of doing business with this person.
