Crooked contractor Brian Darnell enters 2019 still causing problems for other people in the greater St. Louis area.
The latest Civil Lawsuit involving the failed Prodigy Restoration Group continues to drag on now entering its fourth year in the St. Louis County Courts. For the unfortunate customer of this unethical general contractor the headache started years ago. The civil lawsuit is now making its way to a third judge for handling, Associate Circuit Judge Robert M. Heggie.
Darnell continues to have multiple business entities that complicate any consumer holding the crooked contractor accountable.
The series of businesses the crooked contractor hides behind has included:
- Darnell Group LLC
- Darnell Construction LLC
- Brian C. Darnell LLC
- Design-Build St. Louis LLC
- Prodigy Restoration Group LLC
With the likelihood high that there have been other LLCs or doing business as names.
Things have not changed with the Bankruptcy Court either:
Darnell remains in Chapter Thirteen bankruptcy which significantly inhibits the chance of any consumer getting money from this contractor in the event problems arise with the work performed – if ever. In our case Darnell took approximately $10,000 up front for repair work to our home and he then failed to perform the work he was contracted to do.
When the court ordered Darnell to pay us he refused, relying on his shell LLC structure and personal bankruptcy status to make recovering our money unlikely.
